Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is our Christmas concert. Kindergarten students are asked to arrive by 4:45 pm and meet in our "green room"(Ms. Hodgins gr.5 classroom). If your child is in childcare, please sign them out and bring them to us by 4:45 pm. We are the 1st class to perform at 5 pm. Please do not drop your child off in our kindergarten classroom. As well, you are responsible for picking your child up immediately after our performance. Please let us know before you leave with your child so we can check off their name. Thanks so much for your cooperation. We are looking forward to performing for all of you!!! God Bless! Happy Monday! We are preparing our hearts for His birthday in this second week of Advent. We decorated our Jessie Tree and had our weekly Advent Liturgy. We are also working hard on our Christmas crafts. Don't forget our Christmas concert is this Thursday evening. We are so looking forward to sharing our voices with all of you. We are still collecting canned goods for the food bank and toiletries and socks for the Ottawa mission. Thank you so much for your continued generosity! God Bless! Happy Hump Day. We are loving the colder weather in Kindergarten. Lots of talk about l'hiver and all our favourite activities. Please remember those snowpants as we love to play in the new snow during recess time. Thanks so much for your scholastic orders. We really appreciate all your help! Check out our mathematical reasoning during play time today. Patterns, equality and 10 frames all popped up. We have some amazing mathematical thinkers in our Kinder class. It was our first snowfall today and our Kinders were so excitedd to go outside and play in all that lovely fluffy snow. We talked about our favourite snow activities in French, and it seemed like many of our friends could not wait to go and make an Olaf! We continue to work on number sense in math and the concept of making 10 using a 10 frame. It was amazing to see how many friends took what they learned during our explicit instruction and take it to their play. Our Scholastic order is due tomorrow. Please note that we are collecting money from all orders to buy a French reading cart. Thanks so much for all your help! Happy Monday. We hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. Miah had her birthday party and we heard lots of stories from our friends about all the fun they had. In French, we continue to talk about colours and emotions. We support this learning everyday in our explicit instruction, morning message and daily sign in. In Math, we introduced the students to the concept of a 10 frame and practiced making sets of numbers between 1 and 10. In Religion, Mrs. Shackleton told the students about the Feast of Christ and we made crowns to celebrate our love for Him. Just a gentle reminder about the colder weather. Our friends need mittens for outdor play everyday. Thanks!!! (please label them too) |
