Just a friendly reminder that we have life threatening allergies to nuts and eggs in our class. Please ensure all food items sent in with your child are nut free and egg free (no hard boiled eggs or egg salad sandwiches). Thank you so much for your continued cooperation and support in this important matter.
Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. Mme B and her family went to the Carp Fair on Saturday and saw lots of St. Stephen friends there. Mrs. Shackleton had her birthday yesterday and celebrated with her family. Today in our kinder class we made our own "rainbow tree" out of a large branch and multi coloured ribbons. This was an excellent fine motor activity for our friends. It was amazing to see some friends who could not tie at the beginning of the activity could tie near the end. So exciting!! Milayna summed up our feelings when she declared, "Jesus is going to love that tree!" We are also working on our self portraits. This is a nice way to get to know our kindergarten friends and see how they look at themselves. We will be posting their pictures in our cubby when they are complete. Drew and a group of girls created their own "bungalow" drums today out of found items in our room and had a blast creating their own rhythms and original songs. Hi. Just a gentle reminder that rest time blankets should return to school on Mondays after we send them home on Friday. Our friends rest for 30 min every day and it is nice if they are comfortable and cozy. Thanks!! Hi there. Just a friendly reminder that tonight is our meet the teacher night at St Stephen. Hope to see you all there. Happy Friday. We had a wonderful week in kindergarten. Lots of learning, sharing and love. We are still fascinated by our friendly pet spider. Her web is now complete and so beautiful. We are anxiously awaiting her to lay her eggs. We watched a very interesting video today on how spiders spin their webs. We also made a cute spider craft that looks like our pet spider with brown legs. Fun! Please don't forget to sign your child in at the office when you are late. This is very important to ensure child safety at our school. Thank you! We are having lots is fun exploring our new Kinder classroom and getting to know our new friends. We are exploring French colours and talking about them during play. Blake was the star of the day today. His favourite colours are noir and rouge. We have an inquiry on spiders happening. We have a pet spider in our room. We learned a French song about spiders and even made a spider craft this morning. Our meet and greet teacher night is next Thursday September 24th at 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Please come and say hi to us and take a look at our classroom. |

I am learning so much from our students and look forward to each school day to see what new inquiries will emerge and grow! Archives
