"Jesus died because he loved us and he wants us to care and he wants us to live. He chose to die on the cross for us so we can live." ~Olivia
It says: "To Mme B. From Alessa. Mme B, your beautiful eyes is sparkling like the ocean."
Too Sweet!!!
Today we worked on our mosaic Easter Eggs. Mrs. Shackleton compared them to stained glass windows in our church. So pretty! For those students who were absent yesterday, we completed our Hand Crosses. All your child's Easter crafts will be sent home today in their mailbags. We will have an Easter Egg hunt today after "The Stations of the Cross". Have a Blessed and Happy Easter! "Jesus died because he loved us and he wants us to care and he wants us to live. He chose to die on the cross for us so we can live." ~Olivia After our school's "Stations of the Cross", Alessa made this card for me to cheer me up. It says: "To Mme B. From Alessa. Mme B, your beautiful eyes is sparkling like the ocean." Too Sweet!!! We have been so busy today getting ready for Easter. We made our Easter Crosses and our Easter Baskets. Some of our students wrote about Easter in their creative writing...en fran çais! Wow! One of our inquiries today was on ballet. The students requested "ballet music" so we put the "Nutcracker" on the smartboard. Chairs were gathered for the audience and the ballet commenced! It was magical! Here is a list of some items we are in need of in our class. A great big THANKS and MERCI to all those who have donated to our classroom. Every little bit counts! *wicker baskets *pine cones *river rocks *card stock *buttons *wooden trays The students have been working hard on their lenten activities and are preparing their hearts for Easter. Mrs. Shackleton has been explaining the Easter Story in her daily religion lessons. During Lent, we look more intently at our lives, repent of our sins, and offer personal sacrifices of alms, prayer, and fasting as penance for our sins. We spend these days in preparation for the new life of Easter. We offer you all Eater Blessings!
Welcome to our new Blog! Mrs. Shackleton and I have been working hard at creating a Reggio inspired learning environment. The Reggio philosophy is a program based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment based on the interests of the children through a self-guided discovery. It encourages a respect of our natural environment and one another through collaboration and conservation. Here are some of our new Reggio inspired learning centers and activities.

Mme Boudreau and Mrs. Shackleton
Hi! My name is Mme B and I have been teaching kindergarten for the last 10 years and teaching since 1996. This is my 4th year teaching full day kindergarten with the play-based model. I am learning so much from our students and look forward to each school day to see what new inquiries will emerge and grow! Archives
